Grove Workshop – the Fae
April 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm CDT
Join our workshop on the Fae, or fair folk. Known by many names – fay, fae, faery, faerie – these magical and legendary beings are common across folk traditions. The upcoming festival of Beltane on May 1st is a time when we are closer to the Fair Folk’s world, so let’s learn about their lore and proper etiquette for our interactions with them.
This public and open workshop will be held in the Chapel at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans, 2903 Jefferson Ave, New Orleans (at the corner of Jefferson Ave & South Claiborne Ave).
Bayou Grove is a Druid group located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Druidry as a spiritual practice is free of dogma and rigid notions of deity, and while based on the deeper meanings in Celtic lore it is open to those of all ancestral or cultural backgrounds. We hold public rituals for the modern ‘Wheel of the Year’ festivals (most are held outdoors in public parks), monthly meetings for grove members, and monthly workshops (most of which are public).
